Opening ceremony of Woori Bank ‘Dino Lab’

Woori Bank has set up a new program to strengthen startup support.

Woori Bank announced on the 3rd that the launch of the startup cooperation program ‘DinoLab’ was held at the Hanwha Financial Center in Yeouido, Seoul.

At the ceremony, Choi Jong- gu, Chairman of Finance Committee, Son Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial Group, Woori Bank, and CEO of startups attended.

Chairman Choi said, “Fintech’s innovative technology and financial company’s customer trust should meet and create synergy.” We hope that Woori Bank Dinolab will be established as a fintech hub where technology, finance and investment are gathered. ” .

DinoLab is short for ‘Digital Innovation Lab’. It is intended to help startups grow into ‘dinosaur’ companies.

Woori Bank selected 14 dino lab tenants through a public offering in March.

Dino Lab is operated by ‘Wifi Fin Tech Lab’ and ‘Developer Lab’.

Wavipin Tech Lab supports office space, management consulting, investment, etc., and Developer Lab focuses on SME technology and service development.

Developer Lab is also the first ‘testbed’ center in the financial sector, and cooperates with Amazon Web Services to provide cloud development environment, financial API (application program interface), and technical advice to all companies participating in DinoLab.

Woori Bank also planned to provide products and services of DinoLab participating companies using the open API of ‘Wobby Bank’, a mobile easy banking service.

Chairman Son said, “We will support companies with innovation and technology through DinoLab, the cradle of digital innovative companies,” and “We will build a global online channel using Wobby Bank and others to support domestic startups.”
