Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (Center Director Lim Jong-tae) and SK announced on the 14th that they held the 5th Dream Venture Star Launching Ceremony at the Icheon SK Telecom Training Center in Gyeonggi-do for two days from December 12-13. In the 5th Dream Venture Star, NanoMems Monster, Billix, Doctors Fab, Edu, including TEEware, Deepcent, Aul Nest, and Cedronix utilizing the 4th Industrial Revolution technologies such as IoT, AI, and Big Data Ten startups were selected, including Tech, Aron and League. They were selected from a total of 161 teams after three rounds of judging by a panel of judges during the month-long competition from February to March. These companies will receive incubation at the Daejeon Innovation Center by December, including office space support, investment attraction, and expert mentoring. During this period, the company will also receive support for SK Group’s business linkages as well as support for demand-driven sales and marketing and global expansion. In addition, the company will receive 50 million won in funding benefits, including preparation for leap, growth support fund, and SK technology commercialization fund. Meanwhile, Dream Venture Star, operated by Daejeon Creative Innovation Center and SK, is a high-speed growth program for deep-tech startups.A total of 34 companies have received child care for sales of KRW 37.1 billion, investment attraction of KRW 44.7 billion, and employment creation of 1111 people. It serves as a gate for star ventures.
